Reuzado recognised as Amsterdam Social Firm.
Circular and social enterprise gets the recognition it deserves from the City of Amsterdam.
Sometimes a milestone comes along that doesn't feel like a new step, but a confirmation of what you've been doing for years. The official recognition of Reuzado ICT Services as an Amsterdam Social Firm is just such a moment. Not only are we proud, we are grateful that our vision of entrepreneurship, in which social value is as important as financial, is now also formally recognised by this leading municipality.
Because what is a Social Firm? It is a firm where social impact is embedded at its core. Where circularity is not a ‘project’ but a starting point. Where people are given opportunities, and technology is used as an engine for inclusion, sustainability and change. At Reuzado, this is not marketing language - it is our daily practice, for more than two decades. Whether we provide safe and certified data destruction, give IT equipment a second life or contribute to CO₂ reduction through smart software and processes: we do this with an eye for people and the environment.
Recognition with impact.
Recognition as a social firm by the City of Amsterdam means that we are included in the official ‘shop window’ of socially responsible suppliers, a kind of ‘preferred partners’ of the municipality. Indeed, suppliers to the municipality of Amsterdam have a social return obligation and the municipal Social Return Office supports them in this. It advises which companies can contribute to their social return obligation.
But it goes further. Reuzado is also registered with twinpacT, the national platform that allows multiple social firms to be involved in a single procurement process. A powerful tool to increase our collective impact as social enterprises - because scale makes a difference.
Not separate initiatives, but an integrated approach.
For us, social enterprise is not a perk. It is how we operate. Our complete lifecycle management, from onboarding to safe disposal of hardware, is geared towards maximum circularity and minimum impact on the planet. At the same time, we offer opportunities to people distanced from the labour market and actively work on digital inclusion - from schools to social organisations.
With our CO₂ impact reports, we also help organisations with their CSRD obligations, and through donation programmes we connect depreciated IT with new users - locally and internationally.
An honour, and a responsibility.
This recognition by the municipality of Amsterdam feels like an honour. But it is also a responsibility we carry with conviction. To continue building an IT sector that is not only efficient, but also fair. Not only smart, but also social. And not just future-oriented, but future-worthy.
We invite partners, customers and clients to join us in continuing to invest in solutions that matter. Because you don't make impact alone. You make impact together.
