Destruction of data storage media

Company data is not only stored on hard drives. SSDs, backup tapes, USB sticks, NAS systems, smartphones and tablets also contain data that must never fall into the wrong hands. Reuzado destroys all your data storage media in a certified and verifiable manner, in accordance with the ISO 27001 and DIN 66399 standards. Either at your premises or in our secure processing facility.

Following destruction, you will receive a certificate stating the serial numbers of the data storage media and the date of processing. This ensures you comply with the GDPR and means you have the evidence to hand immediately in the event of an audit.

How data storage media are destroyed

1. Registration

Please let us know which data storage media you would like to have destroyed and how many. You will receive a no-obligation quote; the cost depends on the number of items and the location.

2. Collection or on-site delivery

Our own drivers collect the data storage media in locked roll-on containers. Alternatively, the mobile shredder unit can come to you, so that the data never leaves the premises.

3. Registration

Every data carrier is registered. Only authorised staff are permitted access to the secure processing area.

4. Destruction

The data storage media are destroyed using industrial shredders in accordance with DIN 66399. We destroy hard drives using an H5 shredder.

5. Certificate

You will receive a certificate bearing serial numbers and the date, which can be found in the Circu-IT customer portal.

On site or in our processing area

At on-site data destruction will your data storage media be destroyed under your supervision in the shredder truck. The data never leaves the premises.

Would you prefer to have them collected? In that case, your data storage media will be transported in locked wheelie bins to our secure processing facility, where they will be registered and destroyed.

Destroy or delete?

Not every data storage device needs to be destroyed. Working laptops, desktops and servers can also be certified as wiped using Blancco. The device can then be reused, and its residual value is offset against the costs. Read more about certified data erasure or view all our services for data destruction.
