Certified data erasure with Blancco

Not every data storage device needs to be destroyed. Working laptops, desktops, servers and smartphones can also be securely wiped. With certified data erasure, all data is completely and verifiably removed using software. The device remains intact and can be reused afterwards.

You will receive a certificate for each data storage device, and the residual value of reusable equipment is offset against the costs.

How certified data erasure works

1. Registration

Please send us a list of the appliances, including the quantities and, preferably, the make and model. You will receive a no-obligation estimate of the costs and the potential return.

2. Secure collection

Our own drivers collect the equipment. The lorries are fitted with cameras, track-and-trace systems and secure storage facilities.

3. Registration

In our secure warehouse, every device is registered, weighed and assigned a unique tracking number. You can track everything via the Circu-IT customer portal.

4. Erasing with Blancco

Every data storage device is erased using Blancco. If erasure is not possible – for example, in the case of a faulty disc – the data storage device is physically destroyed.

5. Certificate and reuse

You will receive a certificate for each data storage device. Reusable equipment is prepared for a second life and the residual value is taken into account.

When should you opt for physical destruction?

Deletion only works on data storage media that are in good working order. We physically destroy faulty discs, or data storage media for which your organisation requires maximum security, using a DIN 66399 shredder. Read more about destroy data storage media and destroy hard drives.
